ATP Certification Training Program

Kingsky Flight Academy offers an FAA-approved ATP CTP program for pilots seeking their ATP certification. The course covers advanced aerodynamics, aircraft systems, high-altitude operations, weather theory, crew resource management, and human factors, and includes extensive simulator training.

Pilots with a commercial pilot certificate and 1,500 flight hours are eligible. Completion of the program and passing of knowledge and practical tests enables pilots to fly for commercial airlines and other advanced aviation roles.

ATP - CTP FAQ

Yes, TSA security clearance is required for Non-US citizens who are undergoing flight training at Kingsky Flight Academy. This is in accordance with the TSA’s Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP) regulations to ensure the safety and security of our national airspace.

ATP CTP stands for Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program. It is a FAA mandated training program that prepares pilots to meet the requirements for an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.

The ATP CTP consists of 30 hours of ground school training and 10 hours of simulator training. The ground school covers topics such as aerodynamics, weather, navigation, and aircraft systems. The simulator training focuses on multi-engine jet aircraft operations. The duration of the ATP CTP can range from one to three weeks, depending on scheduling and availability.

No, ATP CTP does not result in a type rating. However, it is a prerequisite for obtaining an ATP certificate.

There are no preparation material for the ATP CTP.  All of the required knowledge required will be provided during the course.

The ATP CTP covers some of the topics that will be present in the ATP written exam, however applicants must use another source of preparation for the written text.  The most commonly used software is sheppardair.  You may purchase your subscription at www.sheppardair.com

The results of the ATP written exam are valid for 60 calendar months from the date of the exam.

No, ATP CTP is not a requirement to take the ATP written exam for single engine. However, it is a requirement for obtaining an ATP certificate, which is necessary for operating multi-engine aircraft.

Upon completion of the ATP CTP, you will receive a certificate of completion from Kingsky Flight Academy, which serves as evidence of your completion of the program.

Yes. The ATP CTP Certificate expires in 60 months.
